Dawson has truly created an awesome suspenseful thriller series with The Ward Lowe series. With each book, the story becomes more intricate and we learn more and more about each of the characters. Trouble always seems to surround Jack, and in this book, he's in one of the worst scenarios yet. With a lot of action and a fast paced story line, this is such a great book that will appeal to many people. Overall, couldn't recommend this series enough.Product details

No Easy Way Out is hard to put down. A six-person team of US operatives embark on a mission to destroy a base in Mexico that has developed a terrible biological weapon. They’re also desperate to rescue a seventh member whom the terrorists are using as a guinea pig.
International thrillers are one of my favorite genres, especially fast-paced ones with a unique twist. No Easy Way Out has not one but two such angles. First, it is rare for thrillers to peer so deeply into the emotional lives of their characters. Dawson’s intrepid agents work their way through remote jungles, undergoing difficult terrain, insects, and weather, all the while risking discovery by the enemy gang. Between breaks in the action we are given entry into the innermost feelings of each character, including their views of past operations, their fears, and their relationships with others on the team, which includes three women and four men. Some die-hard thriller fans might be impatient with such introspection, but it certainly makes the players more real, easier to remember, and worth caring about.
The second twist is that at least two of the characters have been subjected to an experiment which gave them some facility to read minds. It’s quite creative, though I sometimes had trouble figuring who was talking to whom and whether the others could hear what they said.
Many of these characters appear in other novels by Ms. Dawson, which I have not yet read. I’m sure her fans will be anxious to read this newest novel and learn more about these characters, which are well-drawn and engaging.
